A CHILD was knocked down outside a Deeside primary school.
The incident has occurred outside Bryn Deva Primary School in Connah's Quay this morning.
Councillor Bernie Attridge said: "I have just been informed that a child has been knocked over outside Ysgol Bryn Deva.
"Sending my best wishes for a speedy recovery. I've spoken to the head teacher about the accident and she is as upset as me that nothing has been done to prevent such an accident."
He has been calling on Flintshire Council to get to work on the safer routes to school scheme outside the school - which was agreed as year ago.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 9am this morning we received reports that a child had been involved in a collision with a motor vehicle on Linden Avenue, Connah’s Quay.
"Officers attended and found that the child had sustained minor injuries and was accompanied by his parent. Colleagues from Welsh Ambulance also attended the scene."
