A LANE on the A55 in Flintshire was blocked after a two-vehicle crash.
The incident occurred eastbound at J36A (Broughton Retail Park) on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services were at the scene and Traffic Wales warned people to expect delays in the area.
The crash was cleared and traffic started to return to normal at about 5pm.
Eye-witnesses state that a car had gone into the back of another.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 2.40pm today, Tuesday 14 December, police were called to reports of a collision on the A55 eastbound between Broughton and the Posthouse roundabout.
"Officers attended the scene and found that a White Audi had collided with a Black Skoda in a layby at the side of the road.
"The driver of the Audi was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, they are believed to have suffered a medical episode."
