A FLINTSHIRE resident is celebrating a decade of helping others achieve their weight goals through Slimming World.
Tracey Evans, from Flint, has spent the last 10 years being a consultant for the Buckley branch.
She continues to help her members lose weight by following Slimming Worlds Food Optimising Plan which aims to help people overcome the barriers that might have tripped them up in the past.
Tracey says she wants to 'shout from the rooftops' that her real-life groups are open in the heart of the community and there to help people.
She said: "We know that the majority of people in the UK have gained weight during lockdown – the latest government statistics show that over 40% of adults gained weight. For those looking for a solution, we’ve got evidence to show that Slimming World works - success stories from local slimmer’s who’ve stayed with their group (virtually) during lockdown and have beaten the national odds to come out of lockdown slimmer, fitter and healthier.
"These members are our living proof that with the right support from their group – combined of course with our Food Optimising plan and becoming more active - people can lose weight and keep it off for good.
"My Buckley groups, held every Tuesday at Buckley Hawkesbury Community Centre, are a warm and friendly environment. Members are treated with respect, understanding and kindness. We come together every week to share ideas, inspiration, and laughter, supporting each other to develop strategies to form healthy new habits around food and activity that they can maintain for life.
"I can't put into words how proud I am every week to see my amazing members losing weight and changing habits of a lifetime. I have lost count of how many members I have supported to achieve their target weight over the last 10 years, and I feel privileged that they chose me to help them.
"So, with just 8 weeks until Christmas, new members are more than welcome to come and join us to start their weight loss journey. We’re here to help and support you, don’t struggle alone."
