Tripadvisor Rating: 3.5/5
What the punters say: "We were on holiday for three days and called in for drinks and food. Entering the pub was restricted due to staff shortages but the staff were brilliant and coped very well. Table service was quick considering and food delicious and great value."
"Wetherspoons is good value wherever you go but when the same drink is over £5 dearer next door something is very wrong. Cheap drinks and excellent value food. You get what it says on the label."
"Lovely iconic building but a little dark, in keeping with it being a former theatre with boxes for viewing! Good service, efficient, clean premises. Like all Wetherspoon pubs, prices of both drinks and food very reasonable, my husband highly recommends the guest ale, ‘Old Legover’."
"Centrally located this old building is certainly one of the better spoons. Stella £3.49 and many more beers to choose from. Food was very acceptable and priced accordingly."

"The best feature of the pub is the building itself - the old picture house converted but with plenty of old features maintained - worth a visit in its own right.
"The menu was slightly limited but there was still a fair amount of choice and we enjoyed our steaks, grills etc and the pint of Shipyard went down well."
