KITTENS found dumped in a cardboard box in Wrexham have been saved by a local rescue centre.
The pair of kittens were found dumped in a cardboard box on Pont Wen park near Whitegate last week.
The Candy and Tibby Trust, a Wrexham-based cat rescue, collected the pair and rushed them the vets, before driving them to a specialist in Southampton.
The black kitten, named Wonder, had surgery to remove both her badly infected eyes, with the other, Winky, having one of her's removed.
But thankfully are now recovering at a sanctuary near Southampton.
The Candy and Tibby Trust said: "Following the vets appointment it was agreed that due to the terrible condition of the kittens eyes more specialist treatment was needed.
"In order to give them the best possible care and chance at life, a larger rescue we network with down south has very kindly agreed to take the kittens so we handed them over on Thursday morning to the amazing Lorri at the Cat Welfare Group.
"Thank you so much to Lorri and team for agreeing to take the kittens into their care, and to everyone who donated towards their care and treatment."
