A WREXHAM 'flim nut' had a day to remember as Wrexham AFC's Hollywood owners paid his shop a visit last week.
On Friday, October 29, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney checked into the Mad4Movies store where they met owner Rob Clarke, his wife Carrie and two children Charlie, 8, and Henry, 5.
The business has been run by Rob since its establishment in 2006.
He initially started Mad4Movies up having become unemployed after previously working in the IT industry.
Deciding to 'give it a go' by buying and selling DVD's on the advice of a friend, Rob started off at car boot sales before eventually opening his store.
15 years later, the business is still situated in Wrexham and that anniversary will go down as a memorable one for Rob as two big movie stars, and the owners of the beloved football club he supports, visited the store.
Rob said: "It was great having them here. I was told the day before by producers that they 'might pop in'.
"I had been filmed previously for the documentary they are putting together, but I didn't know whether or not they would be actually dropping by so it was a surprise. As soon as I found out there was a chance of them coming, I was pacing up and down thinking about it!"
Rob, a self-confessed 'film nut', is also a die hard Wrexham AFC fan having followed the club since the 1980's.
So, Deadpool actor Reynolds and 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' star McElhenney's trip to his store had a double significance for him.
He added: "I've had other famous faces in before like Stewart Lee, the comedian, but this was just on another level.
"They signed some DVD's, including a 'Green Lantern' one which Ryan jokingly admitted 'wasn't his finest work' - he wasn't afraid to have a laugh at himself!
"The fact I have been a Wrexham fan since I was a very young lad, and experiencing the highs and lows over the years, so the visit just makes it all the more sweeter. Never for one minute though did I expect the main men though to pop in and chat about the club and movies.
"They've both had some great things to say about helping not only the football club but the people of Wrexham too. "Wrexham as a town gets knocked a lot, but the community spirit is incredible and having Ryan and Rob here has just given that a massive boost. It's a great thing for us here."
