NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 13 of Flintshire’s establishments.
The Food Standards Agency’s website shows the ratings for restaurants, cafes and canteens.
And now 13 of these establishments have been awarded new ratings in the latest updates for Flintshire in partnership with the county council.
Ten of the eateries were given the top rating of five.
A five star rating from the Food Standards Agency means that hygiene standards are very good and comply fully with the law, while structural compliance and the agency’s confidence in a venue’s management are also judged to be extremely strong.
The inspections are carried out, according to the Agency, in order to give customers a clearer idea about the standards at the venues they frequent.
Two establishments were given ratings of four.
Finally, one takeaway was given a two rating.
No venues were given zero ratings in the latest round of inspections.
Flintshire County Council implements the scheme in accordance with the requirements of the Food Hygiene Rating (Wales) Act 2013.
This mandatory scheme has been developed by Welsh Government in collaboration with the Food Standards Agency and local authorities.
