Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is hosting a very special Halloween race day fixture next week.
Alongside the normal racing schedule on Tuesday, October 26, the racecourse will be host to a number of fun activities for families to take part in.
To make the most of the half-term and give families a perfect day out with something for everyone, Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse will cater to both racegoers and children this Halloween.
There will be free puzzles and activity sheets for children to take and complete throughout the day, as well as an exciting trick-or-treat hunt.
Follow the clues around the paddock area, until you reach your destination and discover your prize. This is also the prime opportunity for kids to dig out their best Halloween costumes for the Best Dressed Competition. The winning entry will walk away with tickets to a future Bangor-on-Dee race day as well as a £50 One4All gift card.
Jeannie Chantler, general manager of Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse said: “It’s been so wonderful to be back racing with crowds at Bangor. We’ve already enjoyed some exceptional race days here, but for Halloween, Bangor-on-Dee is going to be the perfect trip out for all the family. It’s lovely that we can welcome all age-ranges to the course for this special fixture.
"This Halloween fixture gives us the chance to introduce a new generation to the thrills and camaraderie of horse racing. As the only racecourse in North Wales, it’s important children from the surrounding areas have the chance to visit us.”
Gates will open at 11am and the first race is at 1.38pm. Tickets start from £7 when booked in advance online or by phone.
Halloween activities are only available in the Paddock area which requires a Paddock ticket charged at £17 in advance.
Children aged 17 and under are welcomed free with an accompanying, ticket-holding adult.
Customers can visit www.bangorondeeraces.co.uk to book tickets. Alternatively, tickets can be bought in person by visiting the Box Office (at Chester Racecourse) or call them on 01244 304 610.
