IT was "all smiles" as the new Airbus BelugaXL touched down at Broughton for the first time.
The BelugaXL 4 is landed at Hawarden Airport on Thursday morning after its first operational fight to North Wales.
Airbus shared photos of the giant aircraft on Twitter.
Airbus in the UK tweeted: "#BelugaXL 4 was all smiles as she arrived at Hawarden Airport today… as were we!"
The smile refers to the beluga whale face design on the aircraft.
They also shared photos inside the belly of the whale.
They posted: "Ever wanted to see inside the belly of a whale? Here’s the shiny new cargo hold of #Beluga XL as she makes her debut operational visit to Hawarden Airport.
The fourth BelugaXL took performed its maiden test flight in Toulouse in July.
Airbus is progressively introducing a fleet of six BelugaXLs, operated by ATI, contributing to the transformation of the industrial system and the ability to increase production in the future.
