A POPULAR festival celebrating ten years of music has finally returned to Wrexham.
Last year, FOCUS Wales announced that the 10th edition of the festival had to be postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.
However, despite the wait, there were smiles all round as music lovers enjoyed the return of the popular event.
FOCUS Wales is an international multi-venue showcase festival taking place in Wrexham, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer.
The special anniversary event got underway on Thursday and continues until Saturday, and as many as 15,000 people are expected to arrive at the town, building on 2019’s record attendance.
With over 250 artists and bands, film screenings and arts events, the events will be spread out onto 20 stages across the town at venues including Ty Pawb, St Giles, Llwyn Isaf, the Wynnstay Hotel and many more.
FOCUS Wales 2021 will also celebrate the arts of the region and beyond, through the presentation of a collection of new works, performances, and interactive aspects.
Photographer Brent Jones has his exhibition ‘In Focus - a decade of Focus Wales’ on show at Ty Pawb where he is sharing over 100 photographs of the event over the last ten years.
Originally being on show just for the weekend, the exhibition will now be available to view right through until the end of the month.
