FANS of North Wales drag superstar the Vivienne have been gagging as she takes on other queens from around the world...in karaoke!
After claiming the crown in the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, the Vivienne has been entertaining audiences up and down the land on a variety of shows and tours.
Singing has always been one of the biggest weapons in Viv's arsenal, and her Cher tribute show and Drag Queens of Pop show with Tia Kofi and Veronica Green have been popular since covid restrictions allowed live performances again.
The Vivienne, alter ego of former Rydal Penrhos pupil James Lee Williams, performed in front of 10,000 people at Manchester Pride and found time to guest on Emmerdale for the soap's first Pride.
All this week, The Vivienne has been starring in Karaoke Club: Drag Edition - and if the reaction on social media is anything to go by, and it is, fans are living for it.
ITV describes the show thus: "Seven world-class Drag Queens - Manila Luzon, Trinity the Tuck, The Vivienne, Crystal, Cara Melle, Frieda Slaves and Tete Bang enter the club and the karaoke competition."
New performers and guests such as Drag Race UK season one alum Vinegar Strokes, Lil Test Ease, Gingzilla, Danny Beard and Mahatma Khandi have appeared during the show's run this week.
The biggest surprise appearance was Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, recently announced as one of the guest judges on Drag Race UK's third season, who appeared for a impromptu duet with Viv.
On Instagram, The Vivienne said: "Tonight on @itv2 karaoke Club Drag Edition!! love Girls Aloud! @nadinecoyle you were fabulous putting up my screaming haha."
Nadine and Faye Tozer from Steps liked the post.
Ahead of the latest episode, The Vivienne posted: "Tonight!!!!! What more could possibly happen?"
Although calling Liverpool home, James spoke about his upbringing in North Wales in the werk room during the first series of Drag Race UK that aired on BBC Three.
Recently, James announced that he and husband David Paul Ludford were buying their first home together in Chester.
The grand final of Karaoke Club: Drag Edition takes place on Friday night. All episodes are available to watch in ITV Hub.
