FLINT'S Olympic hero Jade Jones has urged British heavyweight Anthony Joshua to "go again" after his shock defeat this week.
Joshua suffered just the second loss of a 26-fight professional career to a fighter who won London 2012 gold the day before and in the division below he did.
Joshua was upbeat despite the defeat, promising to learn lessons and come back stronger in the return bout.
That desire was echoed by taekwondo star Jade who was ringside at the fight.
She too won her first gold at London 2012, again at Rio in 2016, and now has her sights on a explosive finale to her career at the Paris Olympics in three year.
After attending the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO World Heavyweight titles match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Jade shared a photo and some words of inspiration on Instagram.
She posted: "Wow!! What an experience, ring side to see @anthonyjoshua fight.
Massive thanks to @underarmour for giving us the best night. Was a ridiculous atmosphere.
"Unlucky AJ back to drawing board and go again."
Anthony Joshua has signalled his intention to trigger his rematch clause against Usyk.
After the fight, Joshua’s long-time trainer Rob McCracken said: “You’ve got to apply better pressure with a fighter like that and not give him too much time. That’s really what should happen. I’ve got no doubts that if (Joshua) applies himself, which he will, then he’ll get a great performance in the rematch.
"Anthony will have learned loads.”
