A 'THOROUGH' investigation is taking place after a building collapsed in Wrexham.
A section of flats on Llys y Mynydd in Rhos collapsed on Friday amid remodelling works at the sheltered accommodation.
Thankfully, all the residents are currently being housed elsewhere and no one was hurt as a result of the collapse.
Local councillor Paul Pemberton said: "Apparently all trades had left when this collapse happened and a full investigation is underway.
"I spoke to council architects late last evening and he was busy arranging safety concerns.
"The health and safety investigators are here this morning (Monday), representatives from Read Construction - who are the main contractors were on site, as well as building control and structural engineers.
"I am assured that thorough investigations will identify the cause and will be made public in due course."
Wrexham Council has been approached for further comment on the matter.
