A RESCUE team was called out to two separate incidents today (September 12) after a teenager suffered a shoulder injury in a mountain bike crash and a walker hurt her ankle.
North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) attended Llandegla Forest this morning after the male mountain biker was discovered by a team member out on a walk.
A spokesperson said: "One of our members was out for a walk in Llandegla Forest this morning when he found a teenage mountain biker with a very painful shoulder injury after a mountain bike crash.
"He called the incident into North Wales Police who then called the team out.
"Team members provided pain relief and then stretchered the casualty to our vehicle where he was brought back to the road, so he could be driven to hospital by a family member. Get well soon."
The team then attended a second incident in Llangollen.
"A lady sustained an ankle injury this afternoon while walking down from the top of Castell Dinas Bran near Llangollen", NEWSAR confirmed.
"Team members provided pain relief and then stretchered her to the road for handover to a Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust crew. Get well soon."
