WREXHAM AFC fans have been sharing their thoughts on the much awaited return to The Racecourse.
The Reds were back on their home turf last night and there was a party atmosphere around the town.
Fans told The Leader that they were feeling emotional at being back in their seats at The Racecourse to watch their team play Notts County.
And while the game ended in a 1-1 draw, there was still a celebratory atmosphere and a real sense of an historic season ahead.
The atmosphere at the ground was electric, with fans singing their hearts out and cheering on their team.
There had been rumours flying around town that Hollywood stars and club co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney might have been dropping in, which all added to the excitement.
They may not have made their much talked about first visit to the club just yet, but fans know that this is another thing to look forward to in what has been an extraordinary era for the club and the town, with Wrexham being talked about across the globe.
Fan Bethan Sear took to Twitter to say: "Great being back under the floodlights last night!"

And Huw Roberts demonstrated his love for the club by sharing that he had travelled for 12 hours there and back from Cardiff to make the first home game.
Just home from @Wrexham_AFC after a near 12hr door to door day trip, 280 miles, 1pt in the bag, and celebrating it with nearly 5500 fellow fans. Loved to back at the Cae Ras. Such a special place. Onto the next one then... pic.twitter.com/t4rCTv9O2w

And Scott Moreton kept the party going when he got home, enjoying a drop of Ryan Reynolds's Aviation Gin.
Just back from @Wrexham_AFC great night and the little 'uns left a couple of unfinished orange juice cartons. An 11pm @AviationGin mix opportunity that seems to good to miss, after all we wouldn't want the OJ to go to waste pic.twitter.com/kZ15YE08So

Striker Paul Mullin shared his thoughts on the first home game.
Some atmosphere last night @Wrexham_AFC so unlucky not to win 🤦♂️

And we'll leave the final word to the club itself, with this rather fitting Tweet.
It wasn’t a win, but tonight was absolutely incredible 🥰
