UPDATE (8.30pm): A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision in Wrexham this afternoon.
The incident happened on the A5156 between the Holt Road roundabout and Borras Park roundabout in Wrexham at around 3pm.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said they had been called out to reports of a male patient coming off a motorcycle.
The spokesperson confirmed that one ambulance attended and the motorcyclist had been taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital following the incident.
The collision had resulted in the closure of a section of the road this afternoon (Sunday).
North Wales Police had posted on social media to warn of the closure of the A5156 in Wrexham, which has now been lifted.
Police confirmed that they are now investigating.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "In relation to the RTC in Wrexham, the road has been reopened and enquiries are still ongoing."
A tweet issued by North Wales Police at the time of the incident said: "Please be advised that the road is currently closed on the A5156 #Wrexham between the Holt Road roundabout and Borras Park Road roundabout. Please use alternative routes."
UPDATE (4pm): A North Wales Police spokesperson confirmed that the road closure was due to a collision but no further details were available.

UPDATE (5.20pm): North Wales Police have confirmed that the road is still closed.
