A MOLD Only Fans model says she feels let down by the platform's announcement that it will remove sexually explicit content from October.
The subscription site, which reportedly has 130 million users, will still allow nude content on the site but will block sexually explicit photos and videos.
In a statement, Only Fans said: "In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines."
Alaw Haf, 24, one of the site's top contributors, says the move is a blow to content creators, many of who are women who use the income to supplement their earnings, provide for their families or support their studies.
The former gym worker, who graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in law, said: "I’m gutted about the announcement, I’m gutted for myself and fellow creators and also the subscribers.
"I feel like we have all been let down.
"I’m also worried for a lot of fellow creators that solely relied on the site for income, it’s basically being told you’re sacked from your job with one months notice through no fault of your own.
"I just hope that other paid subscription sites won’t follow the same footsteps as Only Fans so creators that made “sexually explicit conduct” can continue to work and earn."
She added: "This is going to have a negative affect on many creators incomes and its very distressing. The ability of having flexible working hours is one of the benefits I enjoy, so I can imagine this new change is going to be hard for those creators who are parents and students now potentially having to fit in a full time job to replicate the same income they received from Only Fans."
Alaw, who makes most of her content consisting of underwear and implied nude photographs in her parents' home and garden, is saving to buy her first home.
She added that some of the comments she had seen in the wake of the announcement, showed that models and sex workers still faced judgement for their choices.
She added: "It’s not fair. I think during the whole social media uproar about the topic, people have forgotten about the fact that models and sex workers are actually human at the end of the day.
"Some of these creators have bills to pay, children to feed, families to support and mortgages to pay.
"I have even had some trolling messages like “See you in Maccies in October,” when there has been no need.
"I hope it isn’t brushed aside by people either, as it 'wasn’t a real job anyway,' as a lot of creators are listed as self employed or limited companies. If HMRC sees it as a taxable income, then that is a job, people are potentially going to be losing their jobs."
She added: "Private subscription sites like this had me believing the future was going to be more about ethical porn where performers would have more control over their work (copyright and being able to delete their content) and the content being shared in a consensual way (i.e to their own profiles). Now it seems like sex work and porn is being frowned upon and again showing that the stigma around the topic still exists.
"I have met so many people online and in person that are content creators of explicit levels and they are normal, great people, why does what someone does for a living, as long as it is legal and not harming anyone, something to judge or not be accepted by society."
Recently, the Young Welsh and Bossin’ it docu-series featured Alaw and it was reported that she made up to £5,000 per month.
But she says, as will all self-employment, earnings reflect the work you put in.
She said: "Please bare in mind the programme does say 'up to' but you can’t let the truth get in the way of a good story!
"Everyone’s earnings vary on the exclusive content websites, it mainly depends on the level of content you are working to and how much work goes in to the content and advertising."
Alaw's content is not as explicit as other creators and she believes it will still meet Only Fans' policies.
But with other platforms like Just For Fans seeking to empower models and sex workers, she is looking at other opportunities.
She added: "Due to my content being of lower levels and not 'sexually explicit conduct.' I believe I may be ok to continue as a creator on Only Fans, for now. I feel quite selfish saying that to be honest.
"But I don’t want to rely on that too much in case it changes again. I am already a creator on Admire Me, but I am even thinking about joining a third site or maybe even going independent."
