The much-loved RuPaul’s Drag race UK will soon be returning to our screens for season three. Once again, twelve of the nations most fabulous queens will compete across ten weeks in the hopes of being crowned the UK’s next Drag Race Superstar.

After being announced today on BBC Three Twitter, we introduce to you the season 3 queens.
Victoria Scone
Having done drag for three years, Victoria is the show’s first cis contestant.
“I definitely didn't invent the art of drag for women” she says. “I am not the first and I certainly won’t be the last. But I feel very capable and proud to have made it through the application process and be the first on Drag Race UK.”
A singer, dancer, creative thinker and with a quick wit: Victoria is everything a drag queen should be. Hailing from Cardiff, she wants to win Drag Race to prove that she can, “I’m not a fragile little flower darling. I can have them all for super!”
Veronica Green
A familiar face in season three as we see the return of Veronica Green. Veronica originally participated in season two, however as filming resumed after the pandemic, she tested positive for Covid-19 and could not continue.
Since her brief stint on Season 2 Veronica has collaborated on a song with Myleene Klass and received a DM from Ariana Grande’s brother! Described as a tripe threat by judges back in season two, Veronica hopes to wow with her comedy and improv and win the crown.
Vanity Milan
Vanity is sophisticated, sexy and savage: “I’m not a diva. I’m not a hun. I’m serving unapologetic blackness.”
Vanity comes from a strong arts background, so she is very versatile: “I don't want to class myself as a queen that fits into just one category because my drag career is ever-evolving.”
Vanity wants to become the next Drag Race Superstar because she is nice, and real. Her eye is on the prize, and she is there to win.
Scarlett Harlett
Scarlett Harlett from East London is a glamourous diva with a cheeky cockney mouth, “like Danny Dyer in drag!”
With eight years’ experience in drag, Scarlett is influenced by powerful, funny women.
Having played extra parts in films like Rocketman, she has no fears about her talent in the acting challenge.
“However, I can’t dance” she says. “When I dance, I’m like Bambi on ice and I’m not a fashion queen. I have absolutely no style, but that's okay, because that's not why I do drag. I love making people laugh, and being silly.”
River Medway
River from Kent describes her drag as, “camp, feel good and shallow.”
50% white British, 50% Singaporean and 100% cross dresser, River’s inspiration comes from nonother than Hannah Montana.
“By day, she was a schoolgirl, living a completely normal life, and then by night she’s a popstar, with wigs, make up and outfits. That’s drag! And that’s how I feel in drag.”
With a strong competitive spirit and an ‘in it to win it’ attitude, River also knows that young queer people will be watching the show and looking up to her – that too is enough of a gift.
Krystal Versace
Krystal describes herself as a sex goddess: “It’s the legs the body, the hips, the waist. High, feminine glam. Super fierce. She is just the ultimate moment.”
A perfectionist, Krystal is never fully satisfied. However, this leads to her ultimate talent, motivation – she will always keep going.
To win Drag Race she would bring new fire to drag.
Kitty Scott-Claus
Kitty from Birmingham is the all singing, all dancing life of the party.
“When people come to a Kitty Scott-Claus show, you can expect to have the best night of your life. It’s like the BEST hen do – and everybody’s the bride! It’s everybody’s birthday! It’s everybody’s special day.”
Kitty believes she is the future of British drag: silly, camp and has everything that old school drag was, but with the modern edge. She’s the whole package.
Ella Vaday
Ella is the drag Beast from the East, a “desperate housewife of Dagenham. A yummy mummy – a bit garish, a bit classy, a bit Essex-y. I’m very sarcastic and dry.”
Having done singing and dancing for years, Ella has only been performing for the last two. Drag is the feminine side that as a male actor, was never allowed to be shown.
Lockdown really helped grow Ella’s following, starting with only 6000 followers which grew to 30k. She will be testing all she knows in the competition and hopes to use all the skills she’s learned in the last 14 years.
Elektra Fence
Elektra is “death defying, electrifying and just up for a good time”. She loves to shock people with her killer dance moves and bring the fun.
Inspired by northern warrior-women like Bet Lynch and Jane McDonald, but also by strong glamourous stars such as Miley Cyrus, Kris Jenner and Madonna, an Elektra Fence night is glitter, glamour and disco.
Elektra believes she deserves the Drag Race Crown because she is her best and inspires others to be their best too.
Charity Kase
With a reputation for crazy looks, Charity likes to play on the darkness in beauty. As a self-proclaimed sci-fi nerd, Charity takes her inspiration from fantastical mythical creatures and anything outside this reality.
Charity thrives on anything that is creative and character based, so she is most looking forward to the acting challenges.
“Scary, hairy and a total fair”, Charity wants to open eyes to a whole new art form of transformation.
Choriza May
Originally from Spain but now residing in Newcastle, Choriza describes herself as “Newcastle’s spiciest, meatiest and silliest sausage.”
Choriza may have a different background to the other queens, but her drag was born in the UK.
“There are millions of European immigrants in the UK, and I’m so happy to be representing them as drag queen of the immigrants!”
Choriza is very emotional and loves to connect with people through her art. She believes she is unique and passionate and brings some fresh air to the competition.
Anubis
“Campy and wacky. It’s silly and rather fun” is how Anubis describes her drag. Filled with chaos, gymnastics, live vocals and a lot of jazz a night at an Anubis show is one you will never forget.
The name Anubis comes from Egyptian heritage, meaning god of the afterlife. This is a tribute to Anubis’s father who passed away three years ago.
With a four-octave vocal range, she has confidence in her singing abilities to keep her in the spotlight.
She’s got the vocals, she’s got the dance moves and she’s got the comedy, so Anubis believes she is definitely a threat.
