A FORMER Wrexham town centre bar which shut several years ago is up for auction again.
In March we reported that the old Chicago Rock Cafe in Brook Street had sold for £204,000, having been given a guide price of £150,000 plus.
The property, which includes the freehold of the adjoining building which is currently occupied by Atik nightclub, sold during an online auction held by Manchester-based Pugh Auctions and was confirmed on their website.
However, it appears as though the sale has since fallen through as the premises is due to go back under the hammer on Wednesday, July 21.
The property is lot 32 and has once again been given a guide price of £150,000 plus.
Prior to the buildings being split, the site was originally the Odeon Theatre, built in 1937, before becoming a cinema and later a bingo hall until 1999.
The Odeon was then converted into a Chicago Rock Cafe, which shut in 2013, and Liquid and Envy nightclub, which was eventually replaced by Atik.
