A MAN whose new book recounts his close encounters with aliens is appealing to people in Wales to help him solve one of the UK's most infamous unexplained mysteries.

Russ Kellett's new book ET Rider is currently available on Amazon.

His next book will be the culmination of years' of research into the 1974 Berwyn Mountains incident, dubbed the Welsh Roswell or Ros-Welsh.

He is appealing to people who witnessed what happened on January 23 that year in the mountains close to the village of Llandrillo in Denbighshire.

There were reports of objects in the sky and an explosion, which have not been explained to the satisfaction of ufologists like Russ.

There are tales of alien bodies being recovered from a crashed UFO, a large military presence, and even of people being abducted.

Russ is hoping that people will come forward so he can reveal what really happened.

In the description of ET Rider, a title combining Russ' interest in UFOs and motorcycles, says: "A man's account of countless close encounters with alien craft and abductions by an alien race. Taken by an alien race, put into a military unit and trained to fight as a super soldier against their many enemies on this planet and many others.

"Coming to terms with memories of an alien planet and fighting different alien races and even human races from our own planet Earth. Flash backs from a journey home late one evening on his chopper motorcycle where he was zapped by a light from an alien craft at a level crossing.

"Now struggling with ill health and having being rushed to hospital with memory loss and struggling to come to terms with the horrific visions of the battles he took part in, Russ decided 23years ago to put pen to paper and write down his memoires. He also struggled with this as he is dyslexic and has now only just been able to put his account together for this amazing book. Now looking for answers after a friend who he had told about these encounters told him to look into books on alien encounters and abductions. This sparked a life long interest in the UFO and alien abduction phenomena leading him to become one of the UK's leading investigators.

"Having appeared on a number of TV programmes over the years and countless interviews on radio shows such as BBC and Talk Sport to name but a few. Also appearing in many tabloid newspapers. In his UFO research he has found a conspiracy that has opened his eyes into the UFO subject, not everybody wants the truth out there."

Russ, who has a particular interest in strange encounters in Flintshire and Denbighshire, has been investigating the incident at Berwyn for more than 20 years.

He said: "My mum took ill and I cared for he so I have not been able to get to Wales as much as I would have liked recently.

"What I'm hoping is that people who have got in touch with me in the past will do so again. Or if there is anyone who hasn't been in touch and would like to get their views or accounts of what happened out there I hope they will get in touch.

"It's close to going to print, so if there is anyone who would like to say something, whether its for or against, now is the time to do it."
