'BRITAIN'S youngest blacksmiths' have been tasked with creating a sculpture by their local community council in Wrexham.
Ollie and Harvey Roberts, aged 13 and 12, gained national notoriety after they set up a blacksmith business due to lockdown boredom.
And now, the pair, from Borras, have been tasked with making a sculpture for Acton Community Council to be put on display as a testament to their efforts.
To do so, the boys' company, O&H Metalwork, needs the help of the local community.
They said on Facebook: "Our local community councillors want to help recognise success stories and achievements in our local area, and they have chosen us!
"This is literally huge. They have asked us to create a 4-5 foot sculpture of our choice to either go in the middle of Acton Park lake, or, outside the Acton Smithy where the lake used to be.
"They are also getting a plaque made with our story on.
"We have decided we would like to try and make a huge horseshoe, out of horseshoes."
This means they need "loads" of horseshoes and are asking if people can donate spare or unwanted horseshoes to them for their project.
Anyone wishing to contact the business can do so via https://www.facebook.com/O-H-Metalwork-109620277601066/
