NORTH Wales seems divided on which team to cheer during tonight's Euro 2020 semi-final between England and Denmark.
With Wales out of the tournament, some of the Red Wall have strong opinions about whether or not to support Harry Kane and co.
Games like last night's thrilling tie between Italy and Spain are great for the neutral fan of the sport where "football is the winner" (spoiler alert - Italy were the actual winners).
But when it comes to the Home Nations, are any of us really neutral?
Many of us in Wales support English teams like Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool, all of which are likely to have players representing England tonight.
And, of course, there is the Christian Eriksen effect, with many wanting Denmark to lift the trophy for him after his shocking collapse in the opening game against Finland.
Earlier today, we asked you who you would be supporting.
Here are some of the replies:
- Maureen Hughes said: "I'm Welsh but will support England, as I would support any UK country."
- Tony Aldridge said: "I’m Welsh but want England to win, after last night my guess is football's coming Rome."
- Geraint Mitford Williams: "For the final time no way never."
- Jeff Lewis said: "I support Wales and anybody playing against England."
- Lee Chamberlain said: "I'm Welsh and I dislike the arrogant English media, so for the next 5 days, I'm Italian."
- Matthew Jones: "I'm pro-Welsh not anti-English in most things. I'm not gonna be donning red and white face paint, but I do see it as nothing more than it is; another country's national team, with players who I support every Saturday in the Prem. It doesn't bother me having them doing ok cos it doesn't happen often. Be laid back about them winning but have a good laugh when they lose ."
- Diane Critchley said: "Makes me laugh, they support English players every day of the week in the Premier League!"
- Martin Denoven said: "Good luck to England."
- Susan Harmes said: "Come on England you can do this!"
- Bryan Pritchard said: I will not be watching but I think for the players and fans I hope they do well but the English media is a nightmare - an online radio station is even announcing a countdown to kick off time every 5 minutes - over the top. 4 Nations make up the UK but they seem to forget this fact. When Scotland went to Argentina we were told regularly they are representing the UK as when Andy Murray won Wimbledon and Wales reaching the semi finals in the last Euros."
- Andy Nicholls said: "Each to their own, its down to choice - but if all the England haters supported Wrexham not Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United etc they would not need rich backers from America - they would need a 30,000 seater stadium."
- Carol Hazeldene said: "England but not watching game, husband is English, we end up arguing and I'm a spurs fan - good old Harry Kane."
- Mart Evans said: "I'm Welsh and will be supporting the English squad of players and managers but media and English supporters make it hard for you not support Denmark - clowns the lot of them booing the Germans national anthem was disgusting but media did not mention it once."
- Dom Hunt said: "Here comes a load of cringey “I am (insert any British country other than England), s*d the English” people to try to ruin the fun. I Support any British country as long as they’re winning!"
- Andrew Austin said: "Come on Denmark!"
- David Reeves said: "I'm backing Denmark all the way."
- Jackie Mason said: "Denmark for Christian."
- Michael Mather said: "Ive got England in the Sweep and can win £45 if they meet Italy in the Final."
- Blanche Salisbury said: "Yes England all the way come on lads."
- Vicky Selvester said: "Dilemma!! I want England to win but drawn Denmark in the work sweepstake!!"
- Soozi Tedds said: "Live in Wales, Welsh Mum, English Dad, support all UK countries so come on England."
- Ann Holden said: "England all the way."
- Steve Paddy Allen said: "I’m Denmark all the way."
- Paul Owen said: "England have never won the Euro's - so if it is 'coming home', that must mean Copenhagen."
- Richard Mcgill said: "I am in the I couldn't care less who wins camp."
Former England right-back Gary Neville has told the Three Lions “tonight is a night to be cold” as Gareth Southgate’s side prepare for their Euro 2020 semi-final against Denmark at Wembley Stadium.
The 46-year-old wrote on Instagram: “Tonight is a night to be cold, don’t let emotion take over, stick to the manager’s plan and focus.
“These are young men who haven’t got massive life experience, they will have a manager and staff that are grounding them.
“I’ve been there as a 21-year-old in Euro 96, all of a sudden it’s gone! You’re packing your bags at 1am. Don’t be driving home at 1am in the morning!”
Meanwhile, former Denmark goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel shared a photo of himself and his son Kasper – now the national team’s number one – as a child.
He tweeted: “So excited for tonight. Come on Denmark.”
The match at Wembly Stadium kicks off at 8pm.
