Today marks what would have been Diana, Princess of Wales' 60th birthday, and the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex are set to unveil a new statue in their late mother's honour.
The monument is situated in the redesigned Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, which has been filled with more than 4,000 flowers and offers a “calmer and more reflective setting” for the permanent tribute to the princess.
I have many memories featuring Diana in some way. One of my biggest, probably like most people, was a street party for her wedding to Prince Charles, July 29, 1981.
It was an entire day of celebration. I still have the commemorative mug, and went on to have my first short haircut, inspired by the princess.
Today we take a look back through our archives at some of the memorable moments of Diana's visits to the region.
Are you pictured, do you remember any of the occasions? Or perhaps you have another memory of the princess.
