A TOTAL of 36 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed across North Wales, according to the latest data.
Public Health Wales figures released on Sunday (June 20) show that Flintshire had the highest number of new cases in the latest 24-hour period with nine, followed by Wrexham with eight and Conwy with seven.
In the seven days leading up to June 14, Denbighshire has the highest infection rate per 100,000 population at 82.6, narrowly ahead of Conwy with 81.9.
Flintshire is next with 47.4, followed by Wrexham (41.9), Anglesey (28.6) and Gwynedd (18.5).
A full breakdown of new North Wales cases is as follows:
- Anglesey - 6
- Conwy - 7
- Denbighshire - 4
- Flintshire - 9
- Gwynedd - 2
- Wrexham - 8
Across Wales, there was a total of 176 new cases, taking the total since the start of the pandemic to 214,721.
Cardiff recorded by far the highest number of daily cases in the country with 35 positive tests.
Just over 1.5 million people in Wales have now had both doses of the vaccine, with exactly 2,236,091 people having received at least one dose.
No new suspected coronavirus-related deaths have been confirmed in Wales in the latest 24-hour period. The overall figure still stands at 5,572.
