WREXHAM Council has issued its latest notice on planned road closures in the county.

Market Street from its junction with Charles Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 150m. to its junction with Holt Street will closed from June 27 to enable O’Connor Utilities Ltd. to undertake electricity supply repairs.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Farndon Street and Holt Street and will be signposted.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the period of closure - expected to last for eight days.

From May 31, Tower View in Caia Park from its junction with Hullah Lane in a south westerly direction for a distance of 140m to its junction with Broxton Road to enable Hafren Dyfrdwy to replace three lead supplies.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Hullah Lane and Broxton Road and will be signposted.

Access for

pedestrians will be maintained throughout the period of closure - expected to last for 20 working days.

Broughton Public Footpath 29 will be closed to pedestrians commencing from its junction with Cerney Road and continuing generally south for approximately 310 metres to its junction with Broughton footpath 28 on Woodland Road.

The reason for the closure, in place from June 1, is because works are proposed to be executed on or near to the footpath.

It will be in place for six months.
