PEOPLE in Flintshire and Wrexham who haven't yet had their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine are invited to get it this week.

Coronavirus vaccination drop-in session will take place at Deeside Leisure Centre on Friday and Saturday.

For all those 18 years or older – Friday, June 4 between 8.30am and 6pm.

For all those 40 years or older – Saturday, June 5 between 8.30am and 6pm.

The session is available for Wrexham and Flintshire residents to get their first vaccination, who may have had difficulty already attending due to their work commitments.

There are a limited number of vaccines available so this is offered on a first-come, first served basis.

No appointment is needed, but please be prepared to wait and queue. If you have an existing appointment please keep to the original date.

As well as this, if you are aged 18-39 years and living in the Wrexham area, people registered at the following surgeries are invited ito book their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination on Saturday, June 5 at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre, Llangollen Road, Wrexham, LL14 3HL between 8.30am – 7.30pm.

This clinic is for patients from the following surgeries: Crane Medical Centre / Hanmer Surgery / Chirk Surgery / Overton Medical Practice / Llangollen Health Centre / Gardden Road Surgery / Ruabon Medical Centre / Beech Avenue practice. Those patients registered at Caritas Surgery’s Cefn Mawr clinic are also able to attend.

Patients from other practices are asked not to attend this session as they will not be given a vaccination as the GP cluster seeks to manage the vaccine supply across the local area.

Booking is essential, subject to availability and the slots being booked up. Please book your appointment at https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/BCUHBPlasMadoc4@nhswales365.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/
