AN ENTRIE school year group in Wrexham must self-isolate, it's been confirmed.
Ysgol Y Grango issued the update on Sunday afternoon, May 23, that all Year 7 pupils must begin self-isolating until next week before returning to school a week later.
Headteacher Stephen Garthwaite issued a statement to parents on social media.
He said: “Further to my communication to you on Friday, I can now confirm that a PCR test has been completed and returned a positive case of COVID-19 in Year 7.
“We have been advised by Public Health Wales that all Year 7 students must now self-isolate until Friday 28th May and return to school on Monday 7th June.
“All other pupils must continue to attend school.
“Please continue to encourage your child to complete their lateral flow tests on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, and report any positive cases to the school immediately.
“Thank you for your continued support in these difficult times."
