ONE WEEK on after non-essential shops were able to open once again, shop owners and close contact services have been ‘really delighted’ to welcome back customers for the first time since December and to see customers face to face once again.

Last Wednesday also saw the return of the non-essential street Market traders and the town was busy and footfall has certainly been strong.

Harriot from Florence & Company said: "It was really wonderful to be open again, customers are pleased to be able to browse and it's lovely to see people in person once more and offer a personalised shopping experience."

It has no doubt been challenging times, but new businesses have opened their doors with more openings in the pipeline.

Jo Douglass, Business and Regeneration Officer for Mold Town Council said: "It is wonderful to welcome yet more new businesses and shops to Mold.

"Never has it been so important to shop locally and use local services to support our businesses here in Mold.

"The community spirit has been really fantastic with strong support shown locally. Now travel restrictions have eased it is imperative to continue to support our local shops and our town."

The Totally Mold Vouchers have been a huge success, with many of those buying them expressing their commitment to support the town.

The Vouchers can be spent in one or more of the 70+ participating businesses in Mold.

The expiry date of 30th June has now been extended to the 31st August 2021.

Jo Douglass added: "We are currently running a prize draw to win £50 worth of Totally Mold Vouchers.
