HOW are things looking in Wrexham and Flintshire ahead of the latest coronavirus review?
Public Health Wales can show exactly how our different communities compare with their mapping feature which was first added to the daily update provided by health officials in response to monitoring COVID-19 in October 2020.
It presents data broken down beyond the standard local authority areas that people could previously access and now shows how individual communities compare.
The data is gathered using Office of National Statistics figures of middle layer super output areas (MSOAs) and present the rolling number of cases in either a seven-day or 21-day window.
Darker areas indicate higher concentrations of the virus whilst lighter areas show lower transmission rates.
Below, we took a snapshot look of the latest available seven-day period spanning from February 27 to March 5.

Here’s what we found in Flintshire:
The latest data continues to paint a really positive picture the county.
Following weeks of large drops in local case numbers, levels remain consistently low in many areas.
Most areas remain in single figures - with some even reaching the lowest bracket of less than three identifiable cases.
Figures reveal that, during the latest seven-day period, the Mold area has reported the most coronavirus reports with 12 cases at a rate of 118.5 cases per 100,000 people.

• Buckley North, Northop and Sychdyn - Six cases and rate of 93.4 cases per 100,000 people
• Buckley South - Six cases and rate of 59.5 cases per 100,000 people
• Caerwys, Halkyn and Nannerch – 0-2 cases and rate of less than 25 cases per 100,000 people
• Connah’s Quay North – Four cases and rate of 65.5 cases per 100,000 people
• Connah’s Quay South and Northop Hall – 0-2 cases and rate of less than 31 cases per 100,000 people
• Connah’s Quay Wepre - Three cases and rate of 40.8 cases per 100,000 people
• Ewloe and Hawarden – Seven cases and rate of 64.4 cases per 100,000 people
• Flint North East – Seven cases and rate of 100.8 cases per 100,000 people
• Flint South West - Three cases and rate of 48.3 cases per 100,000 people

Here’s what we found in Wrexham:
At one time, the county Wrexham was known to be one of the worst hit areas when it comes to coronavirus a few weeks ago.
But the situation has continued to change dramatically – for the better.
Much like neighbouring Flintshire, this data shows most communities have been able to drive down their figures in the last seven days to single figures - with a handful also reporting the lowest amount (0-2).
The map does reports that current figures place the Hermitage and Whitegate area as having the highest number of cases - recording a total of 14 with a rate of 159.9 at present.
