A DOCTOR'S surgery in Wrexham has ended all routine face to face appointments amid rising Covid infections in the area.

Bryn Darland Surgery, in Coedpoeth, says it has made the decision for the "protection of both staff and patients" due to the "rising number of Covid-19 cases in the "local area".

The practice is currently triaging face to face appointments booked for next week and will be contacting patients to discuss their options.

A spokesperson for the surgery said: "We will remain open and available for emergencies which will be triaged by telephone in the first instance. Routine telephone consultations will also be available with GPs.

"If you have any questions please contact our reception team. We thank you for your patience and co-operation during these unprecedented times."
