AFTER a whirlwind few months, progress is being made on the deal for Hollywood stars to take control of Wrexham AFC.
A statement on the club website reads: “As we approach the festive period the Wrexham Supporters Trust, along with Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, would like to give reassurance to supporters that progress has been made across all elements of the transfer of ownership voted for overwhelmingly by members.
“We look forward to concluding the transfer as soon as possible subject to League, FA and Financial Conduct Authority approval.
“A rigorous process is in the best interests of the club and the new owners and is something that both parties welcome.
“We would like to wish Wrexham AFC fans across the world a safe and peaceful Christmas.”
Reynolds and McElhenney were successful in convincing fans of their vision for the club as part of the takeover in November.
