A CHOIR is gearing up for a special Christmas performance in a bid to spread some joy this festive season.
The Johns' Boys Male Chorus has been virtually planning a special performance of 'A Child's Christmas in Wales' which will be launched on Christmas Eve.
Members also hope to raise funds for Hope House.
Cai Davies said: "It's very exciting, we've been working on the project over the last few weeks, meeting up virtually.
"It will be a combination of the story told by a choir member and a few carols and all proceeds will go to Hope House.
"We thought it would be very apt given the complications brought on by the pandemic and how Hope House has been affected.
"We all thought it would be suitable to work with them and raise as much as we could. It's a great thing to be a part of.
"We've obviously been rehearsing over Zoom, it's going to be a very different Christmas and we thought this would be something unique and different to make a Christmas like no other.
"It's something to reach for and look forward to."
The performance will be live at 7pm on Christmas Eve on the Facebook page.

Cai added: "Many choirs have come to a stop during the pandemic and some have sadly come to an end. It's been good to find ways to keep things going and have some sort of release even though we are all stuck in our homes.
"It's been proven that being part of a choir is good for your mental health and although we've certainly lost the physical benefits of standing in a choir with your friends around you, we've still been able to perform together.
"I think we've adapted to the situation and even though most members in our choir are younger than the traditional male voice choir, the elderly members have certainly adapted greatly.
"It's been a fabulous project. We thought 2020 was going to be a busy year, but it's been nice to keep things ticking. This project has certainly helped in that."
