POLICE were made aware of parcels coming through Wrexham that seemed a little suspicious.
Officer from the Werxham Town policing team have today seized ‘several’ packages that were stopped by postal workers with a fine sense of smell.
Cannabis disguised in sweets were stopped by the workers and handed over to PCSOs.
A force spokesman said: “A few of our PCSOs have seized several parcels intercepted by switched-on staff with a fine sense of smell at the Royal Mail sorting office in Wrexham.
“In addition to the cannabis contained within were these two items. Thanks to RM for the call.”
