THERE was a treat for train lovers in Chirk this week as some will have caught a glimpse of the Northern Belle travelling across the town’s viaduct.
The famous train passed over the bridge on a journey from Chester, with PA photographer Peter Byrne in the right place at the right time to capture a stunning shot of the carriages trailing along the tracks above the arches.
Many train enthusiasts across the country put travelling on the Northern Belle on their to-do list, with the opportunity to enjoy a five-course meal or afternoon tea in one of the 13 carriages.
Did you see the train passing through Chirk?
