STUDENTS at the Maelor School in Penley are being asked to self-isolate after a Year 11 group tested positive for Covid-19.
Year 11 pupils in the bubble are being asked to self-isolate, as well as anyone using the 535C and 535D busses.
Head teacher Simon Ellis said that those self-isolating will not return to school until January.
"We have received information from "track and trace" that a number of Year 11's in the same bubble have now tested positive for Covid-19," he said. "To summarise the following are currently isolating.
"All Year 11 until December 19 – first day back will be Tuesday, January 5
"Pat's Coaches, Bus Z – until December 15 – first day back December 15.
"LA Bus 535 C (Gyfelia bus) until December 19 – first day back will be Tuesday, January 5.
"LA Bus 535 D (Ridleywood bus) until December 19 – first day back will be Tuesday, January 5.
"There are significant 'knock on' effects to staffing so I will update with details for returning to school on Wednesday for pupils not included above.
"School remains closed today and tomorrow."
