ONE of the new owners of Wrexham's football club has further ingratiated himself with fans on social media.
Actor and producer Rob McElhenney said he was going to do magical things together with the wonderful people of Wrexham in a tweet.
He was responding to American news networks reporting on the takeover of Wrexham AFC by the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creator and Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds.
Rob tweeted: "This town and these people are wonderful. We’re going to do something magical together but first I am going to drink all of their beer."
“Stand aside the Rs are coming” #WITN.

A few #Wrexham institutions right there. Bank bar, St.Giles parish church,
the @WXM_Lager truck and erm, Chequers wine bar. 🍻 pic.twitter.com/Moo17mkhcl
Wrexham fans appreciated his comment about loving a pint, but said he and Ryan would probably never have to pay for a drink when they are finally able to visit the town.
Andy Pierce tweeted: "Good look with that, there's a few tanks full @WXM_Lager
"You might be worth a few quid but I reckon you'll struggle to pay for a drink in Wrexham. I've a feeling they'll be a few on the house and plenty more already bought.
And Wrexham AFC Disabled Supporters Association tweeted: "Many have tried Rob, none have succeeded."
