AT this time of year more than any other, people will feel the knock-on effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Big family gatherings, pantos and social events such as Christmas light switch-ons and Santa Dashes have for the most part been put on hold until next year, scaled back or made into virtual events.
One stalwart on the calendar, an occasion most of us grew up taking part in, is the school nativity but it too will fall victim to the restrictions around covid this year.
So today we look back at some tellings of the Christmas story from the Leader archives, featuring plenty of angels, wise men, shepherds and proud 'new parents'.
