IF first impressions are anything to go by then there could be a landslide vote to accept Hollywood A-listers’ Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s bid to buy Wrexham Football Club.
Wrexham Supporters Trust members have seven days to cast their votes with a decision set to be announced a week tomorrow - and it’s highly unlikely fans will turn down the offer from the mega-rich movie stars.
The duo, who will "hire a proper CEO with vast experience running clubs at a very high level" if they become owners, would also like to produce a Sunderland-style documentary on the club.
"From our perspective, why would we not document this," said McElhenney.
"Why should we not be thinking about Wrexham the way that Man Utd thinks about Man Utd or Sunderland thinks about Sunderland.
"Over this pandemic I think I have watched every single football documentary and I just kept watching these incredible dramas and comedies unfolding in front of me and I just became more and more engaged in the people, the clubs, the communities and the support.
"I just thought if we are going to come to Wrexham and want to build out the exposure of this team, what a great way to do it."
