VOLUNTEERS are needed to help breathe new life into a Flintshire animal rescue centre so it can help local animals in need.
Team Red Volunteers, a Flintshire-based group, launched the appeal for help on their social media channel on Thursday afternoon, November 5.
A spokesman for the group said: “We are asking the kind people of Penyffordd and beyond to lend a helping hand next Saturday and/or Sunday at the new Jackson's Animal Rescue (the old Capricorn site) which was left in a terrible state condition by its old owners.”
“We are asking any trades people and hardworking residents to come along between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, November 14, and/or Sunday, November 15, followed by refreshments at the Penyffordd Red Lion.”
According to the post, the animal rescue site needs a lot of work doing before it can open up its doors to help rescue and rehome local animals in need.
The charity says this includes site clearing, gardening, cleaning, painting, electrical work, and digging to name but a few jobs.
The Leader has previously reported how the site was picked up by the Wirral-based charity earlier this year and lots of work was needed to bring the site out of disrepair.
