AN ASTRONAUT has said he’ll be watching more National League Football after Wrexham gained a sudden boost in popularity.
Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield shared a photo on social media donning a Wrexham AFC shirt and face covering following the team’s victory over Yeovil on Saturday.
He tweeted: “Beautiful win today, @Wrexham_AFC. I hadn't watched much National League, but I suspect that's about to change. Great choice of team, Ryan.”
It prompted a flurry of social media responses with people loving the fact their local club has gone international.
Thanks Bryn - I enjoyed watching sport in space, while exercising. Always delayed, just had to keep from finding the score in advance. Very socially distant.
