THE Rainbow Centre in Penley will be bringing the services they offer direct to residents over the next few weeks with their 'Rainbow Roadshow'.
From August 18 to September 8, the community agents for the Maelor area will travel to rural communities around Penley to demonstrate the services they offer.
The Rainbow Centre has also engaged in a meals on wheels programme to provide assistance to the more vulnerable members of the community.
Pat Burns, community agent for the centre, explained the work his team has undertaken recently.
"All change at the Rainbow Centre since the lock down," said Pat.
"The staff and volunteers have been kept busy providing meals on wheels in the community and we are slowly opening our doors to the most vulnerable by placing them in 'bubbles' to bring them out of their homes but at the same time keeping them in a safe environment for them to engage in some socialising and companionship.
"The community agents have been working non-stop assisting people in the communities helping clients with the many problems encountered during this Covid period."
The centre has also appointed two new Community Agents, with Julie Birrell covering Overton on Dee, Erbistock, Eyton, Bangor on Dee and Marchwiel and Carys Hughes, who is the new agent for Holt.
Jane Bellis and Pat will remain covering the rest of the Wrexham Maelor area (Maelor South).
"We are going to be travelling around the area in our 'Rainbow Bus' doing a bit of a road show, hoping to meet the community and demonstrate to them some of the things we can help them with," added Pat.
"We will be carrying informative leaflets and hoping to have a coffee and chat with anyone that comes along to meet us.
"Holt, Tallarn Green and Worthenbury have only just come on board with the Community Agent Scheme so we want to get our message out there and explain to the community what our role is all about."
The community agents will travelling on the following dates;
Holt - August 18 10-12pm
Marchwiel - August 18 1-3pm
Tallarn Green - August 25 10-12pm
Worthenbury - August 25 1-3pm
Abenbury - September 1 10-12pm
Overton On Dee - September 1 1-3pm
Cross Lanes - September 8 10-12pm
