A WREXHAM photographer has raised hundreds of pounds for the NHS by doing what she loves and helping families make lockdown memories.
The Leader previously reported that Sally Cattermole, who lives in Gresford, spotted several photographers taking doorstep pictures of their neighbours during the coronavirus lockdown and thought it would be an amazing thing to share with her local community.
She has been working as a photographer with her own business, Sally Joanne Photography, since 2017 and told the Leader that she has been missing doing what she loves since social distancing requirements made her job almost impossible.
Since then, dozens of families in her local area have made donations to the NHS Charities Together in exchange for photoshoot son their doorstep as a memory of their lives on lockdown.
Speaking about the fundraiser coming to an end, Sally said: “I was able to carry them out over a period of a month, but I have had to stop as my partner is working a little more now lockdown measures are relaxing so I need to be at home to look after our children.
“Over the month I captured a total of 51 families and raised £1040 for our NHS meaning the average donation was around £20. I was even able to capture one of myself with my own family, we also donated to the cause too.
“I am over the moon with the amount that has been raised and I have received so many lovely comments from people about how they love their images.”
