LIONEL Richie will be saying 'Hello' to Wrexham on June, 3 2021.
Despite his European tour being cancelled earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, a new date has now been set which will see the long-standing performer visiting the Racecourse Ground next summer.
On April 30, in a statement regarding his postponed 'Hello' tour, which included his cancelled June, 4 2020 performance in the area, he tweeted: "Out of respect for the safety and well-being of the fans, band, crew and event organisers and due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is confirmed that my European tour will no longer take place in 2020.
"Every consideration has been given but with the subsequent governmental rulings it is no longer possible to undertake the tour.
"Efforts are being made to reschedule these dates to take place in the summer of 2021 and a full list of the new dates will be shared shortly, but in the meantime please visit the individual festival/event websites for further information.
"Stay safe and healthy.
"See you in 2021."
Megan McKenna, who won the X Factor Celebrity in 2019, is still set to support Lionel at the Racecourse.
