POLICE are urging Flintshire residents to remain vigilant following multiple reports of an artwork scam in the region this week.
It has been reported a number of times across Mold, Sychdyn and Penyffordd over the last several days that a male and a female are knocking on the doors of residential homes and asking people to buy their artwork.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We advise anyone that is visited to refrain from giving away any money to anyone knocking door to door.
"Local officers in south Flintshire are aware of the issue and are paying visits to homes to help and reassure people who have been or may be affected."
They have also urged Flintshire residents to remain vigilant with incidents such as these, with one alert person saving their elderly neighbour from losing over £3,000 in a scam last week.
