A FLINT man has been fined £200 after breaking a window at his former partner’s house in Mold during an early hours disturbance.
Jamie Worrall, 33, of Min Awel admitted criminal damage on October 17 this year when he appeared before North East Wales Magistrates’ Court.
Prosecutor Helen Hall said the offence had a domestic background and that the victim, Siobhan Williams, was previously in a relationship with Worrall.
The pair had been messaging each other the night before the offence, but the exchanges ended in a row and Worrall went around to Ms Williams’ home in Bridge Street in Mold.
He was knocking and banging on a window and door and at 4.30am Ms Williams heard the sound of smashing glass.
She discovered that a back living room was broken. Blood left at the scene matched Worrall’s DNA.
Gary Harvey, defending, said that Worrall had moved on and added: “This was unfortunately was a domestic argument. He didn’t intend to break the window, but he was reckless.
“There is no compensation as the damage has been paid for.”
District Judge Gwyn Jones ordered the defendant pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32.
