A FLINTSHIRE holiday resort firm is celebrating after picking up several awards.

Darwin Escapes, headquartered in Talacre, has scooped nine awards for its sites around the UK at the annual Hoseasons award ceremony which took place earlier this month in Brighton.

The company also had six more of its resorts shortlisted, including Talacre Beach Resort which recently had a £1million pound refurbishment of its restaurant and club area.

Lindsey Esse, managing director of Darwin Escapes, said: “These awards are testament to the hard work put into all of our resorts from our dedicated team to ensure each holiday destination, from the grounds to the lodges and the customer experience, are at a very high standard for our guests all year round.
