UNION chiefs are calling for answers after farmers were left "in a predicament" by a Wrexham dairy firm.
The Farmers’ Union of Wales is seeking urgent clarity on the reasons behind the decision by Tomlinsons Dairies to refuse milk.
This shock decision came in with almost immediate effect and has left many dairy producers in Wales scrambling to find another processor for their milk.

FUW Vice President Eifion Huws said: “We are extremely concerned for our members who are affected and who have contacted us.
"We had no prior warning and are extremely disappointed that farmers are left in a predicament where they have no one to collect their milk."
Llyr Gruffydd, Plaid Cymru’s North Wales AM, said: “This is worrying news both for the 190-strong workforce and the dozens of farmers across the region who supply the company.
"The workforce and the producers must be the immediate priority.
“The reasons for this move will no doubt emerge in the coming days, but in the meantime I am seeking assurances from the Welsh Government that they will prioritise this important part of our rural economy."
Tomlinsons Dairies was approached by the Leader for comment.
