A MOTORCYCLIST has been hospitalised following a collision with a sheep on the Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen.
A single vehicle ambulance and air ambulance - landing on the car park of the Ponderosa Café - responded to the incident that took place at about 12.30pm, the ambulance service said.
A North Wales Police spokesman said the sheep has died following the collision, which involved a Kawasaki motorbike.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called on Thursday 1 August at approximately 12.33pm to reports of a road traffic accident involving a single vehicle near the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen.
"We responded with one ambulance and we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance. One patient was transported by road ambulance to Maelor General Hospital, Wrexham.”
