HUNDREDS of athletics enthusiasts made their way around part of Wrexham as part of a popular running event.
The 30th Helena Tipping 10K took place on Saturday and saw almost 600 runners participate.
It is held annually in memory of Wrexham AAC member Helena Tipping.
Starting at Wrexham Industrial Estate, the route saw runners pass through Bowling Bank, around Isycoed and then past Ridley Wood, back to the industrial estate.

Race director Michael Harrington told the Leader he was very pleased with the outcome, despite having a higher dropout rate than usual - which he said he believed was down to the weather.
He said: “It all went well, considering the rain. On the course itself, the conditions were perfect when the race started.
“We had 592 runners turn out for it and a lot of family and friends came down to the finish line to show their support.

“It was a brilliant day and we had some great times.”
The race - which also includes the North Wales 10K Champs - was won by Liverpool Harriers member Charlie Hulson, of Mold.
He crossed the finish line in 29 minutes 59 seconds, which is a record for the course.
Mr Harrison said Mr Hulson’s time had been “the fastest time anyone has run 10K in North Wales for a long time.”
