A MAJOR toy retailer has announced that it will be open a third store in North Wales later in the summer.

The Entertainer – which also has stores at Wrexham’s Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre and Coliseum Retail Park in Ellesmere Port – has revealed that a new store is coming to Broughton Shopping Park.

It will be based in the unit formerly occupied by Poundworld which closed last year.

Andrew Milner-Walker, the head of property at The Entertainer, said: “We are delighted to have found a great location in Broughton Shopping Park.

"We are looking forward to adding an exciting new toy shop to the complex and welcoming locals down to our Grand Opening Event which will take place on Saturday August 24, where visitors can check out our range of the latest toys and games.”

A spokesman for the retail park has said that another big name brand is due to join The Entertainer at the shopping outlet later this year.

This news came at the same time that Nike became the latest store to close its doors for good on the site in the past 12 months.
